Overseas event - Transylvanian Challenge 2010
Romanian Hike, Bike and Hospice Challenge
Fagaras Mountains
In June 2010, St Oswald’s will take a group of 30 people to Romania to undertake our new Transylvanian Challenge - a Hike, Bike and Hospice Project.
The nine day fundraising trip will include four days hiking and biking in the scenic Fagaras Mountains, otherwise known as the Transylvanian Alps. The adventurers will then link up with fellow charity ‘Hospices of Hope’ to take part in the three day project at local Hospice ‘Casa Sperantei’ in the medieval town of Brasov.
Overlooking BrasovIt will be an amazing opportunity for any supporter wishing to take part in an overseas challenge. It will be a great opportunity to get an insight into the work of an overseas hospice and to make a real difference to the community we are visiting.
Everyone taking part is asked to raise a minimum sponsorship of £2,400. This will cover flights, transfers, food, accommodation and safety equipment. We offer full fundraising support and advice to help you along the way.
For further details, why not join us at our Challenge Information Evening on Wednesday 9th December at 6pm. The informal evening will answer any queries you may have and tell you more about what to expect from the challenge. The evening will be held at St Oswald’s Coleman Education Centre, on Regent Avenue, Gosforth, Newcastle NE3 1EE.
