St Oswald’s provides hospice care for adults and children. 

Situated in Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne, St Oswald’s purpose-built facilities offer a range of flexible services to North East families.

St Oswald’s follows a holistic approach that aims to address not just physical symptoms, but also spiritual and emotional needs too.

We care for adults with life limiting conditions such as Cancer and Motor Neurone Disease.  Our wide range of services include an Inpatient Unit, Day Hospice, a Day Treatment Unit, an Outpatient Clinic, Complementary Therapy and Outreach.

We also offer specialist short breaks to North East children with progressive, life shortening conditions.

We provide specialist care for children, as well as support and advice for parents, within a relaxed, home-from-home environment.  Our aim is to make every child feel special.

Families from across the region - Northumberland and Tyne & Wear – can benefit from our services.

We are a registered charity.  Our annual running costs exceed £8 million – of which over £6 million must be raised through voluntary giving. 

We make no charge for any of our services, ensuring hospice care is available to everyone.
